TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

FULL

A full member is someone who is passionate about MBOAR; the breed preservation and education through participation and active involvement.

A full member resides in the US, is granted voting rights during board meetings regarding referendums and is eligible for board membership.

INTERNATIONAL

An International Member is one who is operating outside of the United States.

They are also granted voting rights during board meetings and are eligible for limited board member positions.

Having been founded and based in the US, MBOAR makes this distinction due to mandatory regulatory compliance and guidance related to USDA labeling, traceability, management, grants and processing.

This aids the organization in adhering to the accounting rules as its status as a non-profit based in New York/United States.

PATRON

A patron member may or may not have breeding stock or even have a farm. This designation allows those who are passionate about the breed get to know more about the uniqueness that the Mangalitsa brings. An example of a patron member may be a restaurant owner, charcutier, or an educational enthusiast. The patron member can enjoy the same educational resources and opportunities that any other member has however cannot register breeders or litters.

PURCHASING BREEDING STOCK

If you are seeking breeding stock for purchase that is registered or is eligible to be registered please contact MBOAR to bring you in contact with breeders that have animals that qualify for registration.

If you are looking for stock that can be registered make sure these animals meet the MBOAR registration qualifications: https://www.mboar.info/animal-registration
